The Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) is an associate Parliamentary group and registered charity. Its charitable objective is: To protect human life through the promotion of transport safety for the public benefit.

PACTS’ Annual Review includes reports from the organisation’s Road Environment Working Party and Road User Behaviour Working Party.

In his report, Oliver Carston, chair of the Road User Behaviour Working Party, concluded:
“In the coming year and beyond, it will be important to identify new and cost- effective interventions including in work-related road safety. It would also be helpful to identify those local authorities that are having successes in spite of the difficult environment and to understand how those successes are being achieved.”
