Maintaining a consistent training and development program is key to all we have achieved at DHL, and through DHL Training (our vocational training portal) we are now able to share the benefits our courses bring.
We have created a team of highly effective trainers, offering more than 30 courses every week from a wide choice of centres across the UK. Every programme is regularly updated to maintain its relevance, with new options added in response to market and regulatory change.
Our current courses include:
The DHL Supply Chain Transport Safety Programme
This programme is a fully integrated modular initiative with important strategic objectives linking with government, trade, customer and other stakeholder interests. The main aspects of the programme are centred around four key areas:
• Organisation (policy and planning)
• Drivers (intake processes and development)
• Vehicles (specification and maintenance)
• Journeys (efficiency and safety)
Each of these complex topics have various sub categories and interrelate with each other to guarantee harmonisation.
Dangerous Goods Training
Vocational drivers employed to transport dangerous goods must be trained – sometimes this means awareness but mostly in means the ADR VTC courses.
Driver Certificate of Professional Competence
Every vocational driver is required to undertake at least 35 hours of approved training every five years. This programme provides a range of courses for individuals and employers.
Trainer Skills
It is important to develop employees whose job it is to develop others. These courses can lead to nationally recognised qualifications at Level 3 or above for teaching in the adult lifelong learning sector.
Transport Compliance
Professional competence is required for those involved in running commercial fleets and these courses provide options for transport professionals to meet that requirement, whether it is the one day introductory level course (operator licence compliance), a QCF transport qualification at Level 2 or 3 or the top (2012 Management CPC).
If you can’t see a suitable solution for your needs, please get in touch. We are always pleased to discuss the opportunity of creating unique programs to match specific requirements.
