In late 2007, this unique road safety initiative was created to reduce the number of motorcyclists being killed and seriously injured on Scottish Borders roads. By 2009 the campaign had already played a significant part in reducing casualties. The template was adopted by several other Scottish police forces and in 2010 was recognised by the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland. For the 2011 motorcycle season it became the first Scottish national motorcycle safety campaign.

The campaign is designed to educate and encourage motorcyclists through direct interaction with police motorcyclists. With many motorcyclists residing in areas other than where they ride, communication was an issue. The dedicated website, has been created to ensure visiting bikers gain expert knowledge of road and weather conditions direct from a local professional biker. With an excellent mix of riding tips and advice, it is now a one-stop shop for any motorcyclist visiting Scotland.

TYhe campaign won a Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in 2011.
