UK-MoRSE is a national database containing ‘before and after’ collision and casualty data for more than 600 road safety engineering projects implemented by over 60 local authorities across the UK, and the Highways Agency.
The records can be queried to find out the current performance of a wide range of scheme types, ranging from traffic calming to road markings and new signal schemes. Queries can be filtered for important factors such as road environment etc.
Statistical estimates are given for each query result, giving peace of mind in using the data.
Unfettered access is available to those organisations that can add to the data, with temporary research access available to others such as universities and consultants.
