This web-based publication presents statistics about personal injury road accidents and their consequent casualties for English Government Office Regions, Counties, Unitary Authorities and Districts.
It also provides estimates of road casualty rates (casualties per billion vehicle miles of traffic) for individual authorities. Thus, local authorities will be able to monitor their progress against the third Road Safety Strategy target – to reduce the rate of slight casualties by 10% in 2010 compared to the 1994 to 1998 average.
