The future of transport, both personal and cargo, has become a major consideration for national and local governments, industry and the general public.As congestion increases and air quality declines, one of the UK Government’s Grand Challenges is to address these problems.

This MCIA policy document examines the current situation and delivers a series of rational, workable solutions that demonstrate the pivotal role the Powered Light Vehicles (PLVs), including motorcycles and scooters, could and should play.

MCIA says that, under the maxim of The Right Vehicle for the Right Journey, PLVs fit seamlessly into the transport mix, complementing walking, cycling and public transport and coming into their own where those options are not viable.
