The free app, “Cycle Yorkshire – Ride the Routes”, offers tips and advice to cyclists about safe riding in rural areas. It has been produced to assist cyclists drawn to the region by the 2014 Tour de France Grand Dèpart in Yorkshire (5-6 July).
The app includes film footage of semi-pro rider Jamie Sharpe riding key sections of Stages One and Two of the Grand Dèpart routes, along with road safety advice, news and links to relevant websites. It is available on both the iStore and Google Play.
