The Honest Truth Partnership brings together statutory partners with advanced driving instructors (ADIs) in a bid to reduce anti social driving and the number of young people killed or seriously injured on the roads.
The campaign is designed to tell young people “The Honest Truth”, using information, statistics and real stories to show how small changes save lives. The campaign messages are delivered to young drivers by ADIs.
Initially conceived in South Devon, the project has spread and now has more than 500 ADIs signed up across Devon, Cornwall and Hertfordshire..
Current campaign collateral includes a resource book, set of posters and teaching cards for ADIs; an information leaflet for young people and parents/guardians alike; and a campaign website with information for ADIs, young drivers and parents.
The campaign has been independently evaluated (process evaluation) by TRL.
