This report provides an overall summary on the numbers and causes of child casualties in the North East of England

The report looks at various aspects of child road user casualty statistics, such as the months, days and hours that children are most at risk of becoming injured in a collision; the vehicle types that they are most likely to be injured by; the manner in which pedestrian casualties occur; the causation factors behind the casualties; and provides a demographic and social profile of child casualties to assist with targeting campaign and general road safety work.
