The revised National Standard for Cycle Training has been approved by the Cycle Training Standards Board (CTSB).

The revised National Standard for Cycle Training has now been approved by the Cycle Training Standards Board (CTSB). The process has involved many individual instructors, Bikeability schemes, instructor training organisations and key professional bodies represented on the CTSB.

The new standard may be taught immediately, though schemes may continue to teach the original standard until 31 March 2013. All schemes must teach the new National Standard from 1 April 2013.

The new National Standards outcomes included revisions to the following:

• Level 1 outcomes

• Level 2 outcomes

• Level 3 outcomes

• National Standard Instructor outcomes

• National Standard Assistant Instructor outcomes

• National Standard Instructor Trainer outcomes

• National Standard Course Ratios and Times
