The aim of the Road Safety and Travel Awareness Team is to reduce road collisions and casualties through the delivery of road safety education, training and publicity. We are committed to helping make St.Helens a safer and environmentally friendly place in which to live, work and visit.
We deliver road safety education, training and publicity, and our activities include:
• Road safety education in schools
• School Travel Plans
• Cycling and walking to school
• Child pedestrian training
• Child cycle training
• Adult Cycle for Health rides
• Bike maintenance
• Child car seats
• Driver training
• Road safety campaigns
• Attendance at various community events to promote safe behaviour on and around the roads
