The Student Road Safety Awards (SRSA) is a new initiative for 11 – 18 year old students across England. This is a competition based on 38 BBC Local Radio stations and is in two parts. The first stage is an area competition where the winners go forward to a final to be held in London.
The aim of the competition is to enable the students to research, develop and present a road safety theme that is suitable for their age and location.
The target audience is the 3,055,400 students England in schools, colleges and youth groups.
The SRSA is supported by the DfT and the Under Secretary of State, Mike PenningMP is backing this initiative.
