In Tyne and Wear, a joint Local Transport Plan has been prepared by the five local authorities;
Gateshead Council;
Newcastle City Council;
North Tyneside;
South Tyneside;
Sunderland
and the PTE, Nexus
Consultation is carried out with various key stakeholders – including Bus Operators, Train companies, the port and airport, haulage companies, cyclist and pedestrian organisations and businesses.
