Tameside Road Safety Unit provides the following services for all age ranges and all types of road users:
• Education
• Training
• Publicity
Road Safety staff visit every primary school in the Borough to deliver the School Crossing Patrol Club to all year three children.
The interactive presentation promotes pedestrian skills, traffic awareness, “be safe be seen” and the safe use of all crossing facilities including School Crossing Patrols.
All children receive an information pack including posters, bookmark and a work book.
The Unit are also responsible for the management and delivery of the School Crossing Patrols Service.
