Sheffield City Council

Sheffield’s Road Safety 10 Point Action Plan determines the Education, Training and Publicity Group’s workload and is used as a strong tool to focus its activities on targeting those people most likely to be involved in a road traffic collision.

The 10 Points are ranked in order according to the number of casualties:

1. Young Drivers (mainly men)
2. Motorcycling
3. Driving for work purposes – corporate driving standards
4. Speeding Drivers
5. Driving for work purposes – Buses, taxis and police
6. Pedal cyclists
7. Young Adult Pedestrians
8. Elderly Adult Pedestrians
9. Primary age child pedestrians
10. Secondary age child pedestrians
