The MCIA has been established for over 100 years and represents approximately 85% of the supply side of the industry; the manufacturers and importers of Powered Two Wheelers (PTWs) and other L-Category vehicles, accessory and component suppliers and companies providing associated services.
Based in Coventry, the MCIA works closely with members and a wide variety of stakeholders such as Government and its agencies, police, press and road safety organisations to promote, protect and expand the UK PTW and L-Category industry.
Throughout its existence, the MCIA and its forebears has evolved to keep pace with changes in the industry and to anticipate future developments. With today’s transport challenges including user safety, congested roads and declining air quality, the MCIA is working hard with national and local Government and other interested parties, to ensure that Powered Two Wheelers and other L-Category Vehicles are recognised for their efficiency and practicality and are an integral part of transport planning.
