The School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at Newcastle University is the largest and best equipped group of its type in the UK with 160 staff and 670 students.
The school has six programme groups which specialise in: Water Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transport Engineering, Geotechnical and Structural Engineering, Geoscience and Geomatics.
The school carries out world class research focusing on the challenges of science and engineering at the interface between technological, human and natural systems. It commands a unique position both to tackle the fundamental science related to intensifying global change and to confront the challenges this presents to society and its supporting infrastructure.
