Modeshift

Modeshift is a national membership organisation that specialises in active and sustainable travel and provides behaviour change support for those working with children, young people, families, school communities and educational establishments.

Modeshift also seeks to influence national debate – government policy and action, and public opinion – and works with other organisations to achieve common goals.

Objectives
• To increase active and sustainable modes of travel journeys for education.
• To support the provision of skills, training and experiences to enable young people to travel more actively, safely and independently.

Goals
• Serve as a voice for its members and others working in the field who support and promote active and sustainable travel to school.
• Provide a forum for its members to share ideas and best practice.
• Deliver the nationally recognised sustainable travel accreditation scheme STAR (Sustainable Travel Accredited and Recognised)
• Offer guidance and updates from government/national legislation through papers, meetings and seminars
• Signpost funding streams and other forms of support to Local Authorities
• Secure discounts and offers for members through corporate sponsorship / partnerships
