Lambeth’s Road Safety Team has produced a road safety guide for everyone living, working and travelling through Lambeth. It is part of the council’s strategy to reduce road casualties in Lambeth, especially among the most vulnerable road users, such as children, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Copies of our road safety guide have been distributed to all schools, colleges, libraries, GP surgeries, driving schools and bike shops throughout Lambeth. Our guide is full of tips and practical advice for all road users including pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, scooter riders and drivers.
Our guide includes:
• advice to parents on teaching your children how to cross the road safely
• how to choose the correct car seat for your child
• tips for newly qualified drivers
• details of courses which offer motorcyclists and scooter riders the chance to improve their skills
• the law regarding mobile phones and driving
• child car-seats
• and many other useful tips and advice.
