Having been in operation for six years the Merseyside Road Safety Partnership is continually working towards reducing the number of people killed and seriously injured on the regions roads.
Deaths on the road are treated by many as accidental, something that just happens, but they aren’t, they’re preventable tragedies with real causes. Together with our partners, we aim to provide engineering, enforcement and education so that everyone can stay as safe as possible on the roads.
Our objectives:
• A 37.5% reduction in the number of people killed or seriously injured (KSIs) by 2020 compared to the 2004-2008 average.
• A 50% reduction in the number of children killed or seriously injured by 2020 compared to the 2004-2008 average.
