CDC/NIOSH

NIOSH is the U.S. Federal agency charged with conducting research and making recommendations to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses. We have recently established the NIOSH Center for Motor Vehicle Safety to coordinate research and prevention activities for work-related road safety. Our research program focuses mainly on the U.S., but we are also active internationally. NIOSH is represented in the UN Road Safety Collaboration, the US committee for ISO 39001, and has collaborative relationships with groups such as the European Transport Safety Council and EU-OSHA.
