Driving Instructors Association

The Driving Instructors Association was founded in 1978 to represent the interests of the professional driving instructor. It is regularly consulted by all the relevant Government bodies, has representation in Parliament, and enjoys influence in Europe and throughout the world.

We’re the voice of driver training in the UK and overseas and have consultative status with the DfT, DSA, DVA, DVLA and other government departments and agencies. We also have representation in Europe, the United Nations and worldwide through the IVV (International Association for Driver Education)
