Cooling towels for SCPs

I am wondering if any other authorities have considered, or are providing their School Crossing Patrols with cooling towels for use during periods of extreme heat? We are looking at ways to assit our patrols given the fact that even when using summer style uniforms it can get extremely hot for them whilst performing their duties. Thanks.

Hi

We do not issue cooling towels in Hertfordshire but we do advise our Patrols to have water with them, to stand in the shade (even if this is on the ‘wrong’ side of the road) and they can remove their hats whilst not in the road.
