The SW region are exploring rural issues – agricultural vehicles and trailers, working drivers and contractors, speeding, tourist traffic, young drivers, run-offs, drink/drugs etc. with a view to developing shared ‘safer vehicles’ and ‘safer road users’ resources. If you have any examples of best practice, or indeed initiatives trialled and discontinued, please share!

See here my FREE content on the broad subject matter you have requested feedback on http://www.satd.co.uk/gratis
On the home page you will see references to my PAID content http://www.satd.co.uk including a PREVIEW of the film lasting about 14 mins.
In summary, SATD (Staying Alive To Drive) is an 80 mins film that addresses 50 Driving Risk Scenarios and which also provides a plethera of driving INFO and STATS some of which you mention in your request post.
The FREE content is GREAT and YES it is FREE – no strings – no purchase required. Feel free to SHARE the URL to anyone.
The PAID content is a FILM – either our PERSONAL EDITION which costs sub £6 for 1-off purchases, or our BUSINESS EDITION which costs between £4 and £0.50 for VOLUME purchases to Businesses S M L XL and XXL.The business edition can be CUSTOMISED to reflect the branding of the buying business. The core content of the PERSONAL and BUSINESS editions are identical.
I claim that this product is THE most comprehensive collection of SAFER DRIVING content available – and I welcome any challenge to this claim.

1. Safe Drive Stay Alive coorindated by Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service – multiagency presentation going into schools and Colleges aimed at 6th form years re RTC prevention.
2. Survive the Drive – similar DWFRS project going into military bases.
3. Biker Down and Docbike activities.
4. One of the Critical Care Paramedics at DSAA developed a “Farmer Down” presentation and talks to Young Farmer groups etc covering the risks and first aid advice akin to Biker down though it is dormant at present due to staff changes.
Various other relevant projects associated with local Road Safety Partnerships which should be accessible via a search or you hopefully will get direct feedback from the relevant individuals in response to your querry.
