Welsh Government statistics show that of those, 21 were fatal and 186 were seriously injured. There were also 641 slightly injured pedestrian casualties.
The total figure of 848 casualties was the lowest recorded figure since 1979. When compared to 2014, there was a 62% increase in the number of pedestrians killed, but decreases in the number of pedestrians seriously injured (21%) and slightly injured (5%).
In terms of gender, the majority of pedestrians that were killed (67%), seriously injured (62%) or slightly injured (58%) were males.
Filtering by age, 32% were aged 0-15 years, 20% aged 25-44 years, 18% aged 45-64 years, and 15% were aged over 65 years.
Focussing specifically on child pedestrian casualties (0-15 years), there were two pedestrian fatalities in 2015, the first since 2011.
Overall, there were 44 child pedestrian KSIs in 2015, a 39% year-on-year fall.
