Young Driver Event - Seatbelt Sledge (or other)

For the third year running the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Road Safety Partnership are hosting a two day Young Driver event. Does anyone have, or know of, a seatbelt sledge that would be available to borrow - or anything else that you may think is suitable for 16/17 year olds, as hands on as possible.

Thank you.

Hi Cheryl

We have a Seatbelt Sledge, (recently refurbished) here in East Sussex which you are welcome to use however but it may well be too far for you to collect from. It weighs 440kg so can be towed by most vehicles although bigger the better!

You still have our one in a hangar (Alconbury), although I don't know what condition it is in.

Hi Cheryl - sorry we don't have one but I believe Gloucestershire Road Safety do; although it sounds as though you have some offers closer to home. We always seem to have an issue with the insurance and putting people on it though so worth checking this out......

Seeing West Mercia's response reminded me that (as far as I know) South Glamorgan CC (now split into two unitary Authorties since 1996) had one until there was a claim from a user about being injured through whiplash. They stopped using it and sold it.
