SCPs (other uses)
Does anyone use SCPs other than serving schools - ie tennis club - and maybe charge?

Use of SCPs
You can only use a SCP to help children cross the road on their way to or from school. See the SCP guideline for more info http://www.roadsafetygb.org.uk/downloads/SCP-Guidelines-06.12.pdf

Use of SCPs
The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (sections 26-28) gave appropriate authorities the power to appoint SCPs to help children cross the road on the way to and from school between 8am and 5.30pm.
The Transport Act 2000 amended this so that SCPs can help anyone (child or adult) to cross the road. Patrols can now also work outside the hours 8am to 5.30pm.
What they can't do is operate for reasons other than the journey to and from schools.
